This large painting was inspired by Pompeian fresco decorations.
The wave is inspired by the Japanese engravings of Hokusai.
They are a combination of ancient art from different civilizations of the past (Italian and Japanese) with neoclassical art (Venus). 

This painting will look absolutely stunning in a minimalistic or contemporary setting. It radiates elegance and rigor.

It was painted in the month of May 2019 and was done in acrylic paints which I prepare from mineral pigments in the studio. 
I personally stretched and and primed the 100% cotton canvas with Bologna gesso and tempera.

This painting will be shipped in a sturdy tube via international courier which includes a tracking number.
