"Girl with Magnolia"
Genya wanted to create a contrast between the nude body standing on ice and the tropical flower, between a woman who is holding a tropical flower in a cold northern environment.
"Girl with Magnolia" is a symbolic painting. The frontal posture of the girl references Egyptian statues, goddess statues that have one foot stepping forwards. Genya took this gesture from that tradition.
This painting took one year to complete and is painted in oils onheavy Belgian linen.
This painting will be carefully packaged and rolled in a sturdy tube, insured and shipped via express courier. You will be given a tracking number with your shipment.
