I truly enjoy painting child portraits because they are in essence.
They are genuine and pure and haven’t yet been conditioned by the outside world.
 
HOW TO COMMISSION A CHILD PORTRAIT​
Part of my creative process involves photographing the child in order to capture their character. The more natural, the better.
This usually takes a couple of hours.The session may take place at your home, business, location of your choice, or at my studio in Italy.
 
Upon returning to the studio, I will draft a sketch of your painting and submit it for your approval within a week.​
Once the sketch has been approved I will start your portrait. Depending on size and medium used, it may be ready within 2-6 weeks.​Upon completing your portrait, an image will be sent for your approval. If necessary, retouches may take place.​
 
Once your portrait is dried, it will be packaged and shipped using a tracking number.(Shipping costs are included in fee.) I can also offer framing or mounting suggestions.​
 
Your child portrait may be realised in a variety of mediums such as sanguine and black pencil on paper, pen and ink on paper, and oil or acrylic paints on linen canvas.​
I use only the finest Italian mineral pigments and personally hand-stretch my linen canvases.* Preliminary costs such as travel are billed as incurred and a non-refundable deposit of 50% is due when painting begins.
The balance is due upon completion and final approval of the portrait.​

16×12 inches / 40.6 x 30.5 cm – Head & shoulders = €3,000
24×16 inches / 70 x 40.6 cm – Head & shoulders = €3,000
36×28 inches / 91.4 x 71 cm – Half length = €4,000
40×30 inches / 101.6 x 76.2 cm. – Three quarter length = €5,000
50×40 inches / 127 x 101.6 cm. – Full length = €6,000​
